Judge throws out suit against Dex One – TRIANGLE BUSINESS JOURNAL

A federal judge has dismissed a shareholder lawsuit against Dex One Corp.’s board of directors, removing one burden from the beleaguered advertising company and resolving an early test of the Dodd-Frank law’s “say on pay” provision.

“The Dodd-Frank say-on-pay provision means what it says it means,” said Alan Parry, an attorney with Smith Anderson in Raleigh who represented Dex. “This was an advisory vote.”
