Alan Parry Speaks at Continuing Education Seminar for Mediators

Alan Parry and Rick Igou co-taught a seminar on September 21, 2018 entitled “NC DRC Advisory Opinions Update.” The seminar was sponsored by the Dispute Settlement Center, a non-profit community mediation center based in Carrboro. The seminar provided attendees with an overview of Advisory Opinions published by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, as well as relevant Standards of Professional Conduct for Mediators.

Alan has significant experience handling civil disputes, including complex business disputes, in state court, federal court and arbitration. He is also certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct mediations in Superior Court and the Clerk’s Mediation Program, and he is frequently asked to speak to legal and business groups about litigation and dispute resolution issues. Alan also serves on the Board of Directors of the Dispute Settlement Center.
